BIOMETAL DEMO partners, Contactica and UCM, attended last November 5th 2014 to the second EIP WATER (European Innovation Partnership) annual Conference celebrated in Barcelona. This meeting took place after the first EIP Water Conference in November 2013 in Brussels.

The EIP Water Conference 2014 was organised by the European Commission. The partners assisted to this conference because they had the opportunity to present project BIOMETAL DEMO to a broad audience of the European community. Furthermore, Contactica and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid were at exposition area where the project BIOMETAL DEMO was presented.

The main objective of EIP Water Conference is to promote cooperation process for change and innovation in the water sector (public and private) like non-governmental organizations and the public. The main tool for this event is to create collaborative action groups to work together.

This meeting was an opportunity to expose the project and its main objective: remove heavy metals in industrial wastewater.
