14 Mar Contactica goes to SMAGUA 2016

This fair was celebrated in Zaragoza between March 8th and 11th 2016

The Project Coordinator Contactica went to SMAGUA 2016 to promote project BIOMETAL DEMO. This event is very important because it is a reference for the water sector in Spain. In addition, Manuel Roman, director of Contactica, made an exposition about BIOMETAL DEMO.

SMAGUA celebrates the 22nd edition. In addition, the exhibition has developed a mobile APP for iOs and Android smartphones where people can find relevant information about the event.

This year has more brands exhibiting and more activities: 780 exhibiting companies from 35 countries. For this reason, SMAGUA is very important for water sector and Zaragoza. SMAGUA reveals the main technical innovations in infrastructure and water management and environment.

Contactica attended SMAGUA with a great profit for the sake of BIOMETAL DEMO, as many visitants were attracted by the material deployed in our booth explaining the overall concept and progress of the project.

Several potential partners asked about BIOMETAL DEMO. They belong to research centres and companies working in the field of water pollutant removal. Some other asked about the technology, gathering the possibilities of replicating the outcomes in their own facilities, even overseas (South America). On the other hand, colleagues participating in other EU funded projects, as DEMOWARE (EureCat) and ManureEcoMine (Ahidra) came to great us or were contacted by Contactica.

Finally, leaflets were spread across the fair trade among visitants, other expositors and especially among environmental and technical magazines. With this entities are actions open to publish articles promoting the progress of BIOMETAL DEMO.

In addition, this fair is a good opportunity to visit the Spanish city of Zaragoza, a medium-sized, modern, dynamic, welcoming city with much to offer in the fields of cultures, entertainment, leisure activities and shopping.
