03 Nov Contactica awarded by UNE for its contribution to standardisation and innovation

The Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNE, granted its UNE Awards that recognise the relevant contribution of people and organisations to standardisation in its 2021 edition.

Contactica innovation has been awarded with the following prize:

• UNE Award for the Integration of Standardisation and Innovation in 2021: to CONTACTICA for its relevant contribution in this field.

CONTACTICA has identified standardisation as a factor of excellence in its European R&D&I project proposals in Horizon 2020, and includes specific activities in a good number of them. This is an important vehicle to promote, from a practical point of view, the integration of standardisation in innovation projects, arousing the interest of other participants in such integration.

Among the innovation projects within the European H2020 framework in which Contactica has included standardisation are the following:

• ALEHOOP. “Biorefineries for the valorisation of macroalgal residual biomass and legume processing by-products to obtain new protein value chains for high-value food and feed applications”. 2020 – 2024.
• UP4Health. “Sustainable and cost-effective production process for the upcycling of olive, grape and nut by-products into 4 natural and healthy ingredients for nutraceutical and cosmetic applications”. 2020 – 2024
• NeoGiANT. “The power of grape extracts: antimicrobial and antioxidant properties to prevent the use of antibiotics in farmed animals”. 2021 – 2025.
