This year, CONTACTICA’s participation at BIOFACH 2025 was an exciting opportunity to showcase our contributions to the organic food industry. The world’s leading organic food fair, BIOFACH, took place from February 11 to 14 in Nuremberg, Germany, attracting organic food producers, distributors, sustainability experts, and consumers. CONTACTICA, as the coordinator of the ALEHOOP project, took part in the event to share our research, results, and focus on sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This fair served as an ideal platform for us to contribute to the conversation around sustainable practices in the food sector.

Enhancing Synergies Through Networking

BIOFACH provided an invaluable opportunity for CONTACTICA to disseminate the results of our work, including the progress made within ALEHOOP. Our focus on sustainability, circular economy, and LCA has been crucial in providing insights into the environmental impact of food production and consumption. With over 15 years of experience in managing EU-funded initiatives, CONTACTICA continues to be a key player in driving impactful projects related to the food sector. The connections made during BIOFACH will further strengthen our involvement in EU programs, such as Horizon Europe, where we focus on projects aimed at fostering a more sustainable future.

Manuel Román, CONTACTICA’s Managing Director, was present at BIOFACH and participated in specialized conferences and networking events, gaining valuable insights into the latest trends in the organic products sector.
