31 Jan Driving Impact in NeoGiANT H2020: Contactica’s Role in the Fight Against Antimicrobial Resistance
This past week, we had the opportunity to participate in the NeoGiANT H2020 Review Meeting in Santiago de Compostela, an important milestone as the project moves into its final months. Over two days of discussions and strategic planning, partners gathered to assess progress, align objectives, and ensure that NeoGiANT continues to advance its mission: developing sustainable, nature-based alternatives to antibiotics in animal health.
At Contactica, we are proud to contribute to this groundbreaking project by leveraging our expertise in Communication & Dissemination, Exploitation, and Project Management. Our role is to ensure that NeoGiANT’s innovations don’t just stay within research circles but reach key stakeholders—from scientists and policymakers to industry leaders and farmers—who can drive real-world change.
Strategic Contributions to NeoGiANT
As part of our commitment to the project, we focus on:
📢 Communication & Dissemination – Ensuring that the project’s findings, milestones, and breakthroughs are effectively shared with the right audiences through strategic storytelling, outreach, and engagement initiatives.
📊 Exploitation Planning – Helping identify the best pathways for NeoGiANT’s solutions to be adopted in veterinary and agricultural industries, maximizing their long-term impact.
📑 Project Management – Supporting coordination efforts to keep the project aligned with its objectives, ensuring smooth collaboration across all partners.
During the meeting, we reviewed the progress of each work package, discussing how far the project has come and outlining next steps to ensure a strong finish. We also had the chance to visit the i-Grape Laboratory, where innovative research is shaping the future of sustainable animal health solutions. Seeing these advancements firsthand reinforced the importance of the work being done and the collective effort behind NeoGiANT’s success.
Looking Ahead
With the final phase of NeoGiANT underway, we remain committed to making sure its impact extends beyond the lab and into the industries that need it most. The fight against antimicrobial resistance is a global challenge, and we are proud to play a role in ensuring that NeoGiANT’s solutions are visible, accessible, and ready to drive meaningful change.
A special thanks to Universidade de Santiago de Compostela for hosting this important meeting and to all project partners for their dedication. As we approach the finish line, we are excited to see the final results and the lasting contributions NeoGiANT will make to a more sustainable, resilient future in animal health.
