CONTACTICA’s Q1 2025 Events: Driving Innovation and Strengthening Partnerships

The first quarter of 2025 has been exceptionally dynamic for CONTACTICA, marked by significant engagements that underscore our unwavering commitment to innovation and international collaboration. Our team’s active participation in various events across Europe has reinforced our dedication to advancing sustainable solutions and fostering robust partnerships.

January: Laying the Groundwork for Innovation

In January, CONTACTICA commenced the year with the General Assembly of the BeonNAT project in Bragança, Portugal. This initiative focuses on developing value chains from underutilized tree and shrub species, aiming to create sustainable resources and promote environmental conservation. Simultaneously, our team attended the General Assembly of the SMURF project in Florence, Italy. SMURF aims to enhance the profitability of small forest properties throughout Europe by introducing innovative management practices and fostering cooperation among stakeholders.

These engagements set a strong foundation for the year, emphasizing CONTACTICA’s role in pioneering projects that blend environmental sustainability with economic viability.

February: Expanding Educational Frontiers and Sustainable Practices

February was marked by our involvement in the 1st STEAM Congress for the STEAMbrace project in Gothenburg, Sweden. This event promoted interdisciplinary approaches in education, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to foster creativity and critical thinking among students. Following this, we presented at the STEAMbrace headquarters in Zaragoza, Spain, furthering our commitment to educational innovation and collaboration.

In addition to our educational endeavors, CONTACTICA participated in the General Assembly of the ALEHOOP project in Pamplona, Spain. ALEHOOP focuses on developing alternative protein sources from macroalgae and legume by-products, contributing to sustainable food solutions. Concurrently, we engaged in the Review Meeting of the UP4HEALTH project, also in Pamplona, which aims to valorize olive, grape, and nut by-products into functional ingredients for health-promoting foods.

Our February activities highlighted CONTACTICA’s dedication to both educational advancement and the development of sustainable practices in the food industry.

March: Forging Ahead with Sustainable Initiatives

In March, CONTACTICA’s commitment to sustainability continued with our participation in the General Assembly of the H2STEEL project in Turin, Italy. This project focuses on developing hydrogen-based steel production methods, aiming to reduce carbon emissions in the steel industry and promote cleaner manufacturing processes.

The quarter concluded with the SMURF Conference Organization Meeting in Rome, Italy, where our team collaborated with international partners to plan upcoming events focused on sustainability and innovation. These meetings are instrumental in setting the agenda for future collaborations and ensuring that CONTACTICA remains at the forefront of industry developments.

Commitment to Innovation and Collaboration

Throughout Q1 2025, CONTACTICA’s active engagement in these events has not only strengthened our existing partnerships but also paved the way for new collaborations. By consistently participating in such initiatives, we continue to drive innovation and contribute meaningfully to the global community.

Our involvement in diverse projects across Europe reflects our holistic approach to addressing contemporary challenges. Whether it’s through promoting sustainable resource utilization, advancing educational methodologies, or developing cleaner industrial processes, CONTACTICA remains dedicated to creating impactful solutions that resonate on a global scale.

As we move forward, CONTACTICA remains steadfast in our mission to foster innovation, strengthen international collaborations, and contribute to a sustainable and prosperous future.
